Blinkling

Your screen. A small question.

Hold Ctrl.
Click. Ask.

Blink lives in the corner of your desktop. Hold Ctrl and click anything on your screen, or drag to take an area, and Blink asks your Claude Code about it. Blinkling looks and explains. It never clicks, types or controls your apps.

Mac, Windows or Linux. Your Claude Code login. No publisher server.

Ctrl and click a paragraph. Press Enter. The answer opens in a chat card beside Blink.
Click Blink and ask in your own words.
Translate a language you cannot read. The answer explains it in English.
Press Guide on a hard page. Blink marks the parts step by step.

Three actions

Start with Claude Code.

  1. Paste one line

In a terminal, with Claude Code signed in:

claude plugin marketplace add Arthur031221/Blinkling && claude plugin install blinkling@blinkling
  2. Start Claude Code, then run one command

    claude --dangerously-load-development-channels plugin:blinkling@blinkling

The flag lets Blink's chat reach this session. Claude Code asks you to confirm it once. Without it Blink still works and answers from its own session.

    /blinkling:blinkling

    Blink appears on your desktop.

  3. Allow Screen Recording

On a Mac, switch on Blinkling once in System Settings, Privacy & Security.

Store listings are not available yet. Blinkling installs from GitHub through Claude Code. Updates are manual. Open the install guide for your computer, with animated steps.

While you read

Pick, ask, read the answer.

Ctrl and click

Hold Ctrl and click a paragraph, a button or a picture. It flies into Blink and the chat card opens beside it with three quick asks and the model, effort and permission pickers. Enter sends the highlighted one.

Ctrl and drag

Hold Ctrl and drag to take an area instead, anywhere on the screen, in any app.

Answers beside Blink

Answers open in a chat card that points at Blink. Click Blink at any time to pick the conversation up again.

An optional browser helper

The Chrome or Edge helper tells Blink which paragraph or button you pointed at, and adds full-length page capture, in-place translation and a reader for PDFs. Blink works without it.

These recordings come from the real app on a real arXiv page, with replies from Claude Code. Waiting time is cut.

A few limits, up front.

On a Mac, Blinkling needs Screen Recording once. Browser settings, extension stores and the browser's own PDF viewer are protected pages: Blink answers from the screen there. Auto explain is off until you turn it on.

What you pick goes to your own Claude Code. Password and payment fields are never read, and Blink pauses while a password manager or a private window has focus. Your selected provider's terms apply. Read what is sent and stored.
